Irish Home Stays is a family run business and we, as the parents of young children ourselves understand that the number one priority of a parent is the safety and happiness of their child. All our Host families have been fully vetted and have received Garda ( Police) Clearance and are experienced ,caring people. Our families are also all based in the quiet countryside of Ireland away from the hustle and bustle of hectic city life.
Because our programs are of a cocooned nature the student will be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Course Content
Because this is an educational vacation we want to create an appropriate balance between the two. The course has 4 core elements to it.
History
Mythology
Gaelige
Cooking
These subjects will be delivered over a 2 hour period each day with a brief ( fun) examination at the end of the course. All students will have certification provided upon completion.
Things to Do and See
Each participating family will have the opportunity to select from a listing of activities (See Activities) that best incorporates all that the individual wants to do or see. There will be an inclusive number of excursions in the package selected and because the student will be living as part of the family unit they will have multiple opportunities to experience the activities of the family selected.
